I am sitting in my home office in the midst of a pandemic writing blog posts back to back as I have tasked myself with creating awesome interesting content for my social media outlets. NOT MY FAVORITE TASK!
My 3rd grader who is enrolled in Universal Remote Learning because of COVID-19 is completing his Physical Education assignment. He is quite loud. I am starting to get antsy as everything else I have to do starts to creep into my thoughts. NOT THE BEST CONDITIONS!
I look up from my desk where I have the curtains in my office open and the front door ajar and I notice it is has started to rain. I immediately start to feel content with my circumstances. I am remembering the words of someone very dear to me. "Learn to enjoy the rain," I remember when she told me it was not something I did not wish to hear. I was in what I felt was internal turmoil caused by the undisciplined and selfish acts of another.
Sitting at my desk today, I realized if that particular situation had never happened I would not be able to enjoy my current here and now. I am happy. I am healthy. I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a business owner. I am a REALTOR. I am a blog writer. I am learning to enjoy the present. All in the midst of a global pandemic and everything else 2020 has brought with it.
